Letters, it all started a letter. The war was over in England but
the memories of "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society"
remain. Juliet Ashton had no idea what this "society" was, but through
correspondence with its members, she found a camaraderie and kinship
like no other. While nothing can take away the sting of having a foreign
army occupy your town and take control of everything, the book
discussions gave way to personal interactions and hope that kept them
all sane. Come read the letters and uncover the wonders of "The Guernsey
Literary and Potato Peel Society."
I really enjoyed this book
and recommend it to everyone. While it can be confusing to follow the
letters at times, that quickly dissipates as the story unfolds.
