"Rosemary Cottage" by Colleen Coble

RosemaryCottageTwo people drawn together by deaths of siblings; drawn to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Are the deaths connected in some way? Can Amy and Curtis remain safe while investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths? In her second book of the Hope Island series, Colleen Coble answers some of our questions.

Amy has come back to Rosemary Cottage to find more information about the death of her brother. His untimely death leaves so much unresolved, and Amy doesn't trust the "accident" report she was given. While Curtis, a Coast Guard officer, has agreed to help find the truth, there are things he is keeping secret too. His sister was killed and left behind a baby daughter for him to care for. (And the father is?) He doesn't want to lose her or endanger her life in any way. The delicate balance between investigation, secrecy, and blooming love brings the story to life, with mystery and intrigue propelling it forward.

I love the way Colleen Coble writes. Her stories and characters come alive with her touch, and the reader becomes drawn in more closely as the pages turn. I enjoyed the first of this series, "Tidewater Inn," and found this second book very good as well. If you are looking for a mystery with a romantic twist, this series is for you. I received my free review copy from Litfuse Publishing in exchange for an honest review.
